The NAB has announced the finalists for the 36th annual NAB Crystal Radio Awards. Bonneville International’s KTAR-FM in Phoenix will be honored with the Crystal Heritage Award during the NAB show in Las Vegas in April.

SiriusXM has announced an 8% cut in its workforce. The move will result in 475 roles being cut across all departments. Sirius CEO Jennifer Witz said the layoffs needed to be made to keep the company profitable.

Beasley Media Group's Detroit Praise Network raised $68,727 during the 2023 Urban Radio Cares Radiothon. The funds raised by 98.3 FM/99.9 FM / 105.9 HD2 benefited St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

97.1 FM, The Drive (WDRV) in Chicago raised more than $78,000 during its "Give a Vet a Pet" campaign. The "Sherman & Tingle Show" effort on the Classic Rock station will provide five veterans with service dogs.

The Media Monitors list has the same top five from last week. Upside stays on top, by adding extra spots to the mix, a move mirrored by nearly all of the rest of the top five occupants.

With the election season coming up, Audacy in Greenville, SC is flipping a couple of FM frequencies for a bigger broadcast footprint. WYRD-FM (106.3 WORD) in Greenville-Spartanburg will flip frequencies with sister station WSPA-FM (Magic 98.9), effective March 28.

Salem Media Group has added George Gilder's line of investment products to its portfolio. Gilder is an established investor, writer and economist. He is the author of numerous newsletters and has written over 20 books.

The CRS continues to lineup music talent for the upcoming CRS 2023 in Nashville. Chris Young will headline the "Amazon Music Presents: Country Heat" March 13 at the Omni Nashville Hotel Broadway Performance Hall.
