Once the news started spreading that the 57-year-old musical genius had passed away, radio stations all over the country went into tribute mode. Cox Media Group was paying tribute on stations all over the country. Atlanta Manager of Radio Ratings & Research Paul Douglas told us Cox Media Group’s AC WSB-FM had billboards up across the metro by mid-afternoon. Prince's hometown was Minnesota so, as expected, radio stations in that city are honoring their hometown superstar, perhaps even more than stations outside that city. Market Manager Dan Seeman tells Radio Ink Hubbard's KS95 played non-stop Prince music from 2pm-7pm Thursday from 5:30am -9:00am Friday morning. Billboards were quickly installed to promote Prince's music and remember him.
