La Raza Radio in Minneapolis/St. Paul is back on the air after last weeks riots destroyed the downtown building housing the stations. The stations are temporarily broadcasting out of the studios at KFAI, a community based radio station.

iHeart Upstate New York Market Manager Robert Morgan acted quickly after hearing what Kimberly Ray from the Kimberly and Beck PM Drive show said on WAIO-FM 95.1 in Rochester.

In Rochester several groups spoke up immediately after the Kimberly and Beck incident, including The Rochester Association of Black Journalists which called on iHeart to do even more.

The popular Brother Wease Morning Show was in replay mode Wednesday, the day after the remarks on the Kimberly & Beck show. And Deanna King, who works for WHAM-AM and on The Brother Wease Show on 95.1 woke up to death threats.

WFNI-AM sports talker Joe Staysniak, who is white, told listeners Wednesday that black people need to say "I'm going to stop being a victim." That statement didn't go over very well with some listeners to the show calling him tone deaf.

Dick Broadcasting's Jared and Katie in the Morning on KZL-FM and Entercom's 3 Live Crew from 102 JAMZ in Greensboro, NC are coming together this morning for a discussion on the murder of George Floyd, protesting, riots, and the Black Lives Matter movement. 

Urban One will host a virtual town hall on the current racial and political climate in the wake of the George Floyd death. We Are One: More Than A Hashtag, will air Thursday June 4.

RAB CEO Erica Farber made the announcement Wednesday that the 2020 Radio Show planned for Nashville will now be a digital event. The joint RAB/NAB event is planning a Music City return in 2022 after a stop in New Orleans next year.
