In its battle for podcast supremacy, Spotify is adding a new data point to give deeper insight into episode performance. The company is rolling out "Plays," a publicly visible metric that shows how often a podcast episode has been actively listened to or viewed.

Nationally syndicated talk radio host Joseph Pagliarulo, known to listeners as "Joe Pags," is launching a new podcast through a partnership with Salem Media Group.  “Unshaken and Unafraid” will feature exclusive interviews, along with "bold commentary, and behind-the-scenes insight into the stories the mainstream won’t touch."

Podcast hosting and monetization company Libsyn has completed a 10,000-to-1 reverse stock split. As a result of the split, shareholders with fewer than 10,000 shares now no longer hold equity in the company.

Podcasting's biggest story of March may be the rapid ascent of VINCE, the podcast hosted by conservative commentator Vince Coglianese that is filling the space previously occupied by Dan Bongino, who recently took a new role as Deputy Director of the FBI.
