Emmis Down To Three Markets

It was "no comment" all around following the one-paragraph note sent around to the press stating that Emmis would be exiting the St. Louis market by selling two FMs to Hubbard and two FMs to Entercom. With St. Louis coming off the board for Emmis, that would leave the company in only three markets.

Scripps Says It Got A Real Good Deal

The $150 million Triton purchase by Scripps was at a revenue multiple of 3.7X ($40 million), and Scripps executives boasted on a conference call Wendesday that they "got a really good deal." They saw Triton as a target and went after it.

Good Karma Brands announced the company will vacate its 98.7 WEPN signal by August 31, 2024 to concentrate on digital distribution and its 1050 AM frequency. The move comes as WEPN owner Emmis Corporation continues its total exit from radio broadcasting.
