SiriusXM Loses ‘Office Ladies’ To Audacy Podcasts

Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey, from the hit TV show The Office, have moved their popular podcast, Office Ladies, to Audacy after leaving SiriusXM. The change allegedly comes as the duo expressed dissatisfaction with SiriusXM’s management of Earwolf.

The podcast, which revisits episodes of The Office with behind-the-scenes insights and commentary, has gained significant traction on Spotify, where it boasts over a million followers and consistently ranks among the top 50 podcasts in the US according to Edison Research.

Earwolf, the production company behind Office Ladies, was acquired by SiriusXM as part of its purchase of Stitcher in 2020. The transition to Audacy marks a significant development, especially as Audacy has been actively expanding its podcast portfolio despite recent bankruptcy proceedings. In March, Audacy restructured its on-demand audio division, merging Cadence13 and 2400Sports to become Audacy Podcasts – an overarching umbrella for the company’s podcast offerings outside of Pineapple Street Studios.

As Office Ladies approaches the end of its run through the 201 episodes of The Office, speculation abounds about the future content of the podcast. Fans on Reddit have proposed several directions for the show, including reviewing the UK version of The Office or revisiting US episodes with enhanced fan interaction.

The acquisition was underscored by Audacy’s recent acquisition of another rewatch series, The Golden Girls Deep Dive Podcast, as TV shows offer a wealth of marketable content for audio.
