As SiriusXM approaches what appears to be a massive rebrand and unveiling on November 8, the company has appointed Uncommon Creative Studio as its new creative agency of record. After an in-depth selection process that involved a competitive in-house review, SiriusXM ultimately chose Uncommon over two competitors, according to Ad Age.
Uncommon has already worked with notable brands like Nike and Beats By Dre. Their strategic approach often taps into cultural movements, demonstrated by their work on redefining Pinterest as a refuge from the negativity prevalent on social media platforms. The agency’s most recent projects include facilitating the FIFA video game’s rebranding to EA Sports FC following the conclusion of EA’s association with the soccer ruler.
Previously, SiriusXM collaborated with ad agency Translation on a project basis, including the “The Home of SiriusXM” campaign, which ran for two years and showcased various personalities enjoying daily life while engaging with SiriusXM content.
The partnership with Uncommon comes at a pivotal moment as the UK-based agency opens its first office outside of London in New York City. French PR firm Havas acquired a majority stake in the agency in July.
