Storybutton, a new audio player targeting children under 12, aims to shift the streaming audio experience away from smartphones and tablets. A pivotal aspect of Storybutton’s strategy is its recent partnership with iHeartMedia, aimed at launching a new network for children’s podcasts.
This collaboration allows kid-friendly audio creators to reach a broader audience and offers resources such as promotional media, ad sales, and operational support. Among the podcasts signed to this network are Koala Moon, Unicorn Bedtime Stories, and several shows by Mr. Jim, including Bedtime Stories with Mr. Jim and Kids Short Stories.
Founder Jim Jacob emphasized the importance of the iHeart partnership, stating, “Over the next five years, we aim to make Storybutton the go-to off-screen platform for audio content globally. With continued product enhancements and content partnerships, we envision a future where everyone has access to a world of imagination, education, and wellness through Storybutton.”
In the coming months, Storybutton plans to launch an app called Storybutton Plus. This will allow parents to manage content directly from their phones and will feature ad-free versions of Storybutton Network shows. Future device upgrades include Bluetooth capability and AI-powered interactive content features.
