Clemson University has introduced a new science podcast, Earthly, aimed at demystifying key issues related to agriculture, natural resources, wildlife, and earth sciences. The podcast’s inaugural season will cover a range of topics from the peculiarities of the Venus Flytrap, South Carolina’s official carnivorous plant, to the alarming decline in honeybee colonies.

Earthly is hosted by Clemson science writer Jonathan Veit and complements other resources offered by the university, such as the Home & Garden Information Center, Land-Grant Press, and Clemson Cooperative Extension. The podcast also features a dedicated website where listeners can find archived episodes, additional resources, and transcripts.

Veit said, “Clemson University is committed to its land-grant mission of extending its resources beyond campus through Clemson Cooperative Extension, its regulatory and rural health programs, and myriad other initiatives. Earthly is another way that South Carolina citizens can benefit from the expertise of Clemson University professors, researchers, and subject matter experts.”
