As part of Memphis, Tennessee’s complete revamp of its official website, the City has formed an official partnership with iHeartMedia to create the new “City of Memphis radio station.”

The redesigned website offers intuitive navigation and audience-oriented customization, making information search and task execution easier, especially on mobile devices. Fouché acknowledged the increasing use of phones and tablets for web browsing and stressed that the new website design was essential to adapt to various devices. The website’s new layout also aims to eliminate communication and interaction barriers that residents often face.

However, the website’s most striking new feature is the City of Memphis radio station. This online station provides a unique blend of curated music from local Memphis musicians and songs mentioning the city. Operating under the tagline “Music for the Memphis in You,” the station spans several genres including Classic Rock, R&B, and Adult Contemporary.

Moreover, the City of Memphis Radio will play a vital role in connecting with the residents, broadcasting PSAs that highlight City services, initiatives, and programs. This effort represents a powerful tool for civic engagement, fostering a greater sense of community among Memphis residents.

In partnership with iHeartRadio, the City of Memphis Radio can also be accessed on the iHeartRadio platform.

City communications chief, Allison Fouché, expressed enthusiasm for the updated site, emphasizing its more streamlined design and enhanced inclusivity. “We have upgraded features to be more inclusive of all residents that will keep them better connected and more informed,” Fouché said.
