Music streamer Spotify has made its third major language support expansion on its mobile app, according to a May 15 press release. The update adds 11 new languages and dialects to bring the total languages supported to 74.
The Monday additions include Spanish (Argentina, Mexico), Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong), Arabic (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco), Basque, Bosnian, English (U.K.), Galician, and Macedonian.
Initially launching with support for 24 languages, Spotify recognized the importance of regional languages in attracting users. In 2021, they added an additional 36 languages to improve compatibility across different regions and enhance accessibility.
