According to Acast’s research from Smart Sounds Asia, its podcast partners have generated a 21% monthly listening increase in Asia between June 2022 and February 2023. The significant increase in listenership comes from Singapore, Hong Kong, The Philippines, and Indonesia.
“Southeast Asia is quickly adopting podcasts both as consumers and advertisers. Now that listening has become a habit, and Acast is established as the leading provider of premium, exclusive content in Singapore and the wider region, there is a unique opportunity for advertisers to take advantage of this high-attention media with ease,” said Timi Siytangco, Key Account Director in Asia.
According to Acast, audiences are listening for up to two hours per day, with Business, Personal Finance, Curious Thinkers, Young Affluents, and Horror as the most popular genres.
