Colombia joins Mexico and Peru as Latin American countries where consumers can tune to their favorite local FM radio stations using the NextRadio app. Later this year, additional expansion is planned to cover more Latin American countries by offering NextRadio within the Google Play Store in Brazil and Argentina.
“We continue to focus our efforts on working with handset makers to turn on the FM chip, and since most have said yes to US phones, it is an easier transition to ask for LATAM activation. We see a big opportunity to serve the broadcast community with rich data insights into their radio listeners which can in turn be offered to their advertisers,” said Paul Brenner, President of TagStation, the power behind NextRadio.
