A familiar voice to Twin Cities radio audiences, Kevin Plummer, has died. The 56 year old former Traffic Reporter for WCCO passed away after an 18 month long battle with cancer.
Akron Dream Machine Host Passes
Bob Friend, host of a popular dream interpretation program in the late 80s on WAKR has died. The Dream Machine was a night-time mainstay of the station until it was cancelled in 1991 after the station was sold.
Bruno Back On National Radio
Tony Bruno and Co-host Harry Mayes join the SB Nation Radio Network, in partnership with JAKIB Media Partners, to kick off a national show May 11. Into The Night will air weekdays 10 PM - 1 AM on the more than 100 network affiliates.

Tim Greene, afternoon personality on WSGE-91.7 FM, Charlotte, is helping youth in an outreach program stay connected while staying home. Greene purchased and presented laptop computers to students in the NC Works NEXTGEN program.

Weekends with Roula is a three-hour weekend syndicated show hosted by Roula Christie. The show is designed for both Hot AC and CHR stations, and targets Women 25 to 54.
WNYC Host Richard Hake Dies
The New York City station announced HERE
that Hake died of natural causes. Hake worked at WNYC for nearly 30 years as a host, reporter, and producer. He was also the host of Morning Edition. Hake was 51.
Veteran DJ Jerry Bishop Passes
Art Vuolo reports that Veteran DJ and VO legend Jerry Bishop passed away this week. Bishop had been hospitalized for several weeks. Using the name Bill Bishop, Jerry worked at San Diego’s KCBQ in 1963. He came to L.A. in 1965 to work at KLAC.
