Ishmael Johnson will take over the role and responsibilities of Market President for Townsquare' Killeen-Temple local media cluster. Johnson will stay in his current role of Market President and Chief Revenue Officer of Townsquare Lufkin

Emily Ward has been promoted to GSM for Entercom Atlanta. She will now oversee sales for WSTR-FM, WZGC-FM, WAOK-AM and WVEE-FM. Ward most recently held the same position with Entercom in Chattanooga.

Mel Myers is the new host of 92.9, The Drive's Morning Show. Myers takes over for Andy Barber, who retired earlier this year after 50+ years in the business.

Chris Hernandez has been promoted to Operations Manager in Phoenix and Daniel Valentine moves up as Music Director. Hernandez joined the Phoenix group in 2007, Valentine has been in the 'Valley of the Sun' market since 2016.

Considered by many to be a father of talk radio in New Orleans, Keith Rush died last week at the age of 89. Rush’s broadcasting career spanned six decades. He retired in 2016. Rush spent many years on WSMB-AM. More details from WWL TV HERE.

Beasley Media Group CEO Caroline Beasley has been elected Chair of the BMI Board of Directors. Beasley, who joined the Board in 2014, most recently served as Vice Chair. She succeeds Michael Fiorile, Chairman of the Dispatch Printing Company, who has been elected Presiding Director.
