Northwestern Media station, WBGL will welcome Courtney Canfield as its new Morning Show Co-Host. Her first day will be June 1.

United Stations syndicated Hip Hop personality Chubb Rock has picked up 15 new affiliates. The new affiliations include four new daily daypart broadcast outlets and eleven new affiliates for weekend programming. 

The Board of Trustees of New York Public Radio has elected Timothy A. Wilkins Board Chair. The international lawyer, advocate for social justice and sustainability joined the board in 2018.

Masters was the host of the talk radio counseling show Advice Line. It was a show he hosted since 1963, according to a Facebook post from his son Alan Taylor who announced his passing. Masters leaves behind 5 children, 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Lance Tidwell is the new program director for 104.7 WZZK and Mix 97.3 (WPYA) in Birmingham, AL. Tidwell joins SummitMedia from Cumulus Media Detroit.

Danny Cunningham rejoins 850 ESPN in Cleveland as a content teammate. Most recently, Danny was at SKOR NORTH in Minneapolis as a Timberwolves reporter and “Vikings Vent Line” co-host. He additionally worked at WOZN in Madison after starting his career here at 850 ESPN Cleveland in 2015.

Chris Baker has been fired from iHeart's KFAB-AM where he hosted afternoons. Baker posted a tweet after the Derek Chauvin verdict in the George Floyd case, headlined “Guilty,” beneath it was an image of four dancing black men in loincloths. Here's his explanation.

Wayne Jones is now D.O.S. for the Urban One Houston radio group, moving up from LSM. Jones has held management positions in Austin, Baton Rouge and D.C. He made Radio Ink's Future African American Leaders list in 2015 and 2017 and is a 2017 Radio Wayne award winner.

Riviera Broadcasting has hired Phoenix market veteran Jill Gossett as Vice President of Sales. Gossett moves over to radio from 12News where she was an Account Executive.
