Bruce Collins is the new PD for NewsTalk WBAP 820 AM/99.5 FM-HD2 and News & Information KLIF 570 AM/96.3 FM-HD. Collins comes to Dallas from Alpha Media in Portland. He replaces Kevin Graham who is now programming Cumulus' KNBR in San Francisco

Radio veteran Bill Taylor (William Chimka) has died after a year-long battle with cancer.  Known for his celebrity impersonations, Taylor’s career included stops at KFWB Los Angeles, KSAN San Francisco, KMLE Phoenix, KIKK and KKHT Houston, Jones Satellite Network, as well as stints at WOKY and WEMP in his hometown of Milwaukee.

Red Apple Media and 77 WABC Radio has promoted Matthew Meany to Assistant Program Director. He joined the station in 2014 and most recently was the Executive Producer of the Bernie & Sid Show.

McVay, Three Others Going Into West Virginia Hall

Four broadcasters, including Mike McVay, will be inducted into the West Virginia Broadcasting Hall of Fame on October 16 at the Museum of Radio and Technology in Huntington, West Virginia. The ceremony will be broadcast live at on many radio stations across the state.

Another Host Dies From COVID

65-year old WNDB in Daytona Beach host Marc Bernier died Saturday night from COVID-related complications. Southern Stone Communications says Bernier worked for WNDB for over 30 years and had a 46 year career as a broadcast journalist. The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports that Bernier was against vaccines.
