Cancer Takes Atlanta Host
Georgia Hall-of-Famer and former Urban One host Silas SiMon Alexander announced he had pancreatic cancer back in September of last year. He passed away this week from the disease at the age of 58. His family posted the news on Twitter.

Pacific Media Group has hired comedian, TV host and actor Lanai to Honolulu radio on KUMU-FM. Beginning March 7, “Lanai’s Traffic Jam” will air weekdays from 2pm to 7pm.
Radio One Going Incognito in Charlotte
Radio One in Charlotte is adding Incognito to its lineup on WOSFHD2 (102.5 The Block). Incognito will host the 7pm to midnight shift beginning Monday. His show Posted on The Corner with Incognito is syndicated in several markets.

DJ Amen has been promoted to Assistant Program Director at KRRL-FM (REAL 92.3) in Los Angeles. Most recently he served as Music Director and holds onto that post as well.
New Chief For Nevada Public Radio
Mark Vogelzang is joining Nevada Public Radio as the new President/CEO. Vogelzang recently retired from Maine Public Radio where he served as President and CEO for ten years.
Cumulus Promotes Liesmann
Keith Liesmann has been promoted to Regional VP in Arkansas for Cumulus. It's a newly created position. Liesmann will hold onto his post as Market Manager in Little Rock and adds Fayetteville and Fort Smith. Cumulus owns 16 stations in Arkansas.
Ostrowski Gets White Sox Network Role
Good Karma Brands and ESPN 1000 have announced that Eric Ostrowski is the new Executive Producer of the White Sox Radio Network. He'll oversee the White Sox pre-game show, post-game show, and all play by play and affiliate relations.

Rameen Madani has been named Program Director of 104.7 KISS FM and MIX 96.9, in Phoenix. He moves up from APD. Prior to his move to Phoenix in 2018, Rameen served as PD in both the Colorado Springs and Tucson markets.

The Freakonomics podcast network has hired a new editorial director. Gabriel Roth worked for Slate for seven years, where he oversaw podcasts.
