News Talk 1110 & 99.3 WBT Charlotte has promoted Mark Garrison to News Director and Reporter Brett Jensen has been given a weeknight talk show. Both have just signed multi-year agreements with the Urban One station.
Streetz Takes Over In Huntsville
Superadio Networks syndicated “Streetz Morning Takeover” anchored by rapper and actor Yung Joc has added WEUP-FM Huntsville, AL to its affiliate lineup. The Hip Hop morning show is based at Core Communications Streetz 94.5 Atlanta, has been in syndication since 2020.
Elder to Host TV Show
The former Salem radio host will host a television show on EpochTV four times per week. The Epoch Times reported Elder would be hosting the show for The Epoch Media Group. Elder left radio back in April.
Bloch Joins Yavapai KVNA-FM
Lenny Bloch has joined KVNA-FM in Flagstaff-Prescott, Arizon. He'll host middays. Bloch started in radio in 1975. He's worked at KFMG in Albuquerque, WRCN on Long Island, WDHA and WRAT in Dover, NJ, Sirius Satellite Radio, and WCBS-FM New York.
William O’Shaughnessy Passes at Age 84
O’Shaughnessy worked at WVOX and WVIP in Westchester, New York for 67 years, stations the Wall Street Journal called “America’s Quintessential Community Stations.” He began his career in 1957 at the original WVIP in Northern Westchester,
New Morning Show In Tucson
K-Hit 107.5/KHYT-FM will launch its new morning show, “Dakota & Andy” on May 31. The new show takes over from Tim Tyler who announced his retirement earlier this month.
Morning Man Exiting WXRT Chicago
Richard Milne has been with the Chicago rocker for 36 years. Robert Feder reports Milne is leaving the station to take care of his ailing wife who has frontotemporal dementia. His last day will be June 10th.
