Cyntha Alston Bell, Cumulus Media's marketing consultant in Charleston, South Carolina, will receive the Martin Luther King, Jr. Portrait Award this year. Bell has worked as a sales and marketing executive for Cumulus in Charleston for more than three decades.

The Missouri Broadcasters Association Board of Directors has selected Chad Mahone, a broadcast veteran with more than three decades of experience, as its new president and chief executive. He succeeds Mark Gordon, who will retire from MBA this summer after serving as the president and CEO for 10 years.

The Country Radio Board has announced the five winners of two scholarship programs. The three women receiving this year's Rusty Walker Scholarships are Tori D, Brooke Summers and Caitlin Fisher; the two women receiving the Lisa McKay Women in Country scholarships are Liz DelGrossos and Chelsea Lee.

P1 Media Group co-founders Ken Benson & Max Dugan will now serve as co-content directors for Alpha Media’s KINK-FM in Portland. They replace Gene Sandbloom.

Provincetown's public station WOMR (92.1 FM) has installed its new board of directors. Sheila House was elected board president, and Breon Dunigan vice-president. Tony Pierson will continue as the treasurer, and Fred Boak remains as the station's clerk.

Emerson College's radio station WERS (88.9 FM) has named Ken West to the newly-created position of brand manager for the station, effective immediately. West, an Emerson College alumnus, started his three-decade career at WERS before moving to other stations.

Hubbard's hit music station KQMV (92.5 FM, Movin 92.5) in Seattle will offer the Brooke & Jeffrey in the Morning show for at least four more years. The show airs in syndication on 50 different stations across the country and is distributed by Premiere Networks.
