Public Radio Station WYPR-FM in Baltimore has been awarded three Radio Television Digital News Association 2022 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, in the Large Market Radio categories of “Continuing Coverage,” “Hard News” and “Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.”

WLTJ Brings Ya Jagoff To Pittsburgh
WLTJ-FM is adding the co-hosts of the popular Pittsburgh Podcast, “Ya Jagoff!” to the on-air lineup starting June 6. Rachael Rennebeck and John Chamberlin, creators of the local podcast, will now bring “Ya Jagoff on Q” to 92.9 FM weekdays from 7 to 10 pm.
KILT-AM Hires New Brand Manager
Parker Hillis has been named Brand Manager of Sports Radio 610 (KILT-AM) in Houston. Hillis returns to Audacy after a stint as APD at Bonneville’s 104.3 The Fan in Denver.
Seven Mountains Rob Frazier Remembered
A memorial service for Rob Frazier, former Head of Creative for Seven Mountains Media, was held in Pasadena, CA. Frazier died after a two-year battle with Cancer in November 2021 at the age of 63.
Hawkeyes Football In Chicago
AM 1530 WCKG, and The University of Iowa has officially agreed on a multiyear deal that will bring Iowa Hawkeyes Football to the Chicago market. WCKG will air every Iowa Football game in Chicago and serve as the team’s sole affiliate throughout the market.

The fight continues over technology from GeoBroadcast Solutions that, if approved by the FCC, would allow some FM boosters to geo-target programming and advertising.
Congratulations Dana
On Tuesday night in Beverly Hills, Dana Cortez, host of Skyview Networks The Dana Cortez Show, accepted the 2022 Gracie Award for Nationally Syndicated Radio Personality. In 2018 Cortez became the first Latina to host a syndicated morning drive radio show.
Matt McGill Returns to WVON Chicago
McGill will take over the 1P to 3P slot on June 1st. The show will be a mix of local news, entertainment and human interest topics. McGill returns one year after stepping down from WVON's afternoon drive slot which he hosted with Kimberly Egonwman. He replaces Keeping it Real with Al Sharpton.
