Cox Media Group's Long Island morning team Dayna and Jayson were let go from the station after a two-and-a-half year run. Jayson joined Dana in the morning after Jeffrey Jameson left the show in January 2014. The company says the station decided to go in a different direction and an announcement on a new morning show will be made next week. WBLI has been battling to keep up with WALK in the ratings in that market.

Forbes has the details about how Subaru has installed censors to control certain programming on Sirius Satellite Radio. Subaru spokesperson Michael McHale confirmed to Forbes that if the owner of a 2015 Legacy or Outback is listening to “mature” content, such as Howard Stern, that car will automatically switch to channel 001 when the car is turned off. This is to guard the next person who gets in the car from hearing anything offensive. The company also confirms that this feature is not customizable by the user.

The Bubba Radio Network has named Kimberly “Jabberjaw” Collelo new Executive Producer for the Bubba The Love Sponge Show. Collelo began her radio career over 10 years ago as an Associate Producer for iHeartRadio/WFLZ and the MJ Morning Show from 2005 to 2008. She began working with Bubba in November 2008.

Cox Media Group Ohio’s Market VP Julia Wallace is joining Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication as the Frank Russell Chair for the Business of Journalism. She begins teaching classes in January. Wallace announced her retirement at the end of June. She's staying on until the end of the year.
