TU 103.1 (KVET-FM HD2) is now a (Spanish and English language) Spanish Contemporary format, kicked off with commercial-free music. iHeart is flipping the format on the translator from Alternative Rock. A full programming lineup will be announced at a later date.

Former long-time Entercom CFO Steve Fisher has been given the Distinguished CFO Award from the Media Financial Management Association. The award pays tribute to a CFO who has made outstanding contributions to the media industry. Fisher was Entercom's CFO from 1998 until his retirement last month.

Chicago has had its share of problems in recent times and there’s never been more of a need to give the city’s youth some hope. So WGN Radio is teaming up with the Robert R. McCormick Foundation, the City of Chicago and over 30 radio stations to launch a citywide radio fundraising campaign for One Summer Chicago 2017

The Texas Association of Broadcasters is handing out the awards and Cox Media Group is to receive the Bonner McLane Public Service Award for outstanding public service in the Large Market Radio Category. The award will be presented at the 2017 TAB Convention and Trade Show on August 10, in Austin.

The CBS RADIO station names John Farneda  to the position he has been working in on an interim basis since early April. This marks a return to the station for Farneda who previously held the MD position at XRT for more than 13 years, from 2001-2014.

The national talker and human rights activist has signed a new multi-year contract with SiriusXM. Madison will continue to air daily on SiriusXM's Urban View channel 126, from 6 – 10 a.m. Details of the new deal were not disclosed.

Another late quarterly revenue report for the Spanish-language broadcaster. For the first three months of 2017 the SBS Radio Division took in $28.2 million compared to $28.5 million in 2016. Here's what the CEO said about the quarter.
