California Broadcasters To Go Silent For Kobe
Southern California Broadcasters will unite at noon PT today to honor Los Angeles basketball great Kobe Bryant. Bryant, his 13-year old daughter, and 7 others died in a helicopter crash Sunday. Stations will go silent for 1:08. Bryant wore number 8 with the Lakers.

Rice To Call Rockies Games
Mike Rice has been hired to call Colorado Rockies baseball on KOA-M and FM in Denver. He replaces Jerry Schemmel, who lost his job in the recent round of iHeart cuts. Schemmel had been calling Rockies games for a decade.
