Corey confirmed on Monday that he was unable to come to terms on a new contract with Beasley and will be leaving WKLB in Boston at the end of the month. Corey joined Beasley in May 2017 after serving as VP of Radio Programming at Bell Media in Toronto.

Illinois Governor Sued By Salem Host

Salem Media Group and Chicago journalist Amy Jacobson have filed a federal lawsuit against Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker. The lawsuit, filed in the Northern District of Illinois, asks the court to take immediate action to allow Jacobson back into the Governor's Press Briefings.

Progressive Jumps To Number One

Adding more than 13,000 commercials to its schedule bumped Progressive from third to the top spot on the Media Monitors national radio advertiser chart last week. The national insurance chain ran 72,079 commercials on radio stations all across the country.

FCC Approves Cumulus Foreign Ownership Request

Since 2018 Cumulus has been seeking approval from the FCC to allow foreign investment in the company up to 100%. FCC rules prohibit more than 25% foreign investment. On Friday The Commission approved Cumulus' request.

Bumper Morgan Passes at Age 59

Scott Beels, professionally known as Bumper Morgan, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 24, at the age of 59 after living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis for one year. Scott was surrounded by his wife Kim of 32 years, and his children.
