Salem Signs Charlie Kirk Extension
Salem Radio Network has signed and extended The Charlie Kirk Podcast to a multi-year deal. Salem first began selling the podcast in November 2020, and now will sell and manage the program through the Salem Podcast Network.
Lance Tidwell Joins SummitMedia
Lance Tidwell is the new program director for 104.7 WZZK and Mix 97.3 (WPYA) in Birmingham, AL. Tidwell joins SummitMedia from Cumulus Media Detroit.
Cunningham is Back
Danny Cunningham rejoins 850 ESPN in Cleveland as a content teammate. Most recently, Danny was at SKOR NORTH in Minneapolis as a Timberwolves reporter and “Vikings Vent Line” co-host. He additionally worked at WOZN in Madison after starting his career here at 850 ESPN Cleveland in 2015.
WDET Detroit Gets Grant
Detroit’s NPR Station, WDET has been given a Kresge Foundation Grant to help replace the transmitter. Kresge’s grant of $150,000 complements more than one thousand donations from listeners during the station’s on-air spring fundraiser.
WILK News Radio Changes Line-up
WILK News Radio (WILK-FM, WILK-AM, WAAF-AM, WODS-AM) in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA, has changed its weekday programming line-up. The changes include a Rush time slot replacement.
Motion Denied To Dismiss Pacifica Suit
L.A. Superior Court Judge Michael Stern has ruled on multiple motions in a legal complaint against two Pacifica Radio Foundation Board of Directors. The suit alleged misfeasance and malfeasance, gross negligence, unlawful conduct, and financial mismanagement.

Nielsen: March Was Good For Radio
According to the ratings firm, the March PPM survey showed that radio experienced " significant gains" in listening, an 8% increase month-over-month in total AQH audience. Nielsen reports the increase was the largest single-month increase in average audience since last June.
iHeart Fires Host Over Tweet
