12 more members of the House of Representatives have added their support to the Local Radio Freedom Act which is a resolution the NAB is lobbying for in Washington opposing any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge on radio. The resolution now has 181 cosponsors in the House and 22 in the Senate.

On Monday Riviera President & CEO Jeff Trumper announced that the new name of the company is Desert Valley Media Group. The company owns 3 FM stations in the greater Phoenix area.

Grace Broadcast Sales has produced a series of 30-second vignettes commemorating the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The Pullman, WA based company has produced the vignettes each year since 2002.

Red Apple Media and 77 WABC Radio has promoted Matthew Meany to Assistant Program Director. He joined the station in 2014 and most recently was the Executive Producer of the Bernie & Sid Show.

New York’s Country 94.7 FM (WNSH-FM) is hosting a live country music event. 'Stars and Strings' is set for September 11 and will benefit 9/11 Day the nonprofit that runs the September 11th National Day of Service.

Storytime is a new original series hosted Seth Rogen in partnership with Stitcher. The weekly program has Rogen talking to celebs about life altering encounters.
