17 More Sign on To Prevent Radio Tax
Fourteen additional members of the House and three Senators have added their support to the Local Radio Freedom Act which is a resolution opposing "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on radio stations. There are now 138 cosponsors in the House and 18 in the Senate.

National EAS Test Planned for August 11
FEMA and the FCC are planning a nationwide Emergency Alert Test for Aug. 11th at 2:20 p.m. ET. Test messages will be sent to TV's and radio's along with select cell phones that have opted in.
