The Bongino Drama Just Got More Interesting
Even though affiliates were told conservative talker Dan Bongino chose to be off the air this week, they were alerted he would be live Wednesday. He then went on the air, on stations owned by the company he's fighting with, and said he was starting a fund to help the employees that same company fired.
Cumulus Q3 Revenue Up 21%
Like other radio companies reporting, these increases are compared to a pandemic-ravaged 2020. On the radio side, spot revenue was up 12% to $122 million and network revenue increased 21% to $63.4 million. Digital revenue increased 67% to $33.3 million.

Smulyan Book Expected in 2022

Voters Reject Urban One Casino
The Urban One Q3 earnings call should be interesting today. After years of planning, and millions of dollars spent, voters in Richmond voted down Urban One's proposed Casino. By a margin of just under 3%, voters rejected the One Casino + Resort referendum. Five Virginia cities voted on casino referendums; Richmond was the only one to not pass.
Radio Personalities FB Pages Hacked

Flood Expands To Central Nebraska
Pending FCC approval, Flood Communication will become the largest broadcasting operation in Nebraska. Platte River Radio has agreed to sell its properties to Flood Communications for $1.6 million.
