Hubbard Signs Logan To Long-Term Deal
On Monday Hubbard Radio in West Palm Beach announced a new multiyear renewal deal for Bruce Logan. Logan will continue in his role as Operations Manager and as the Program Director for WIRK and WEAT. Logan is also one of Radio Ink's 2022 Top Country PD's.
MPR Launches Diversity Initiative
YourClassical MPR diversity initiative will feature minority and female musical artists whose work has previously not been widely available. The first program, Justin Holland: The Guitar's Black Pioneer, debuts February 22.
ESPN 1000 Adds Golf Show
ESPN 1000 (WMVP) is partnering with The Chicago District Golf Association on a new show. The CDGA Golf Show will air Sunday mornings starting April 3.
Futuri Promotes Lindy
Scott Lindy has been named Marketing Content Specialist at Futuri. Lindy has been with Futuri since 2018, when he joined as Partner Success Specialist. Prior to Futuri, Lindy spent 30 years in programming with Cumulus, Clear Channel, Lincoln Financial Media, and SiriusXM.
CPB Continues Newsroom Aid
The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is going forward with a $115,000 grant to continue the Public Media Journalists Association (PMJA) Editor Corps. The program provides short-term editing assistance to public media newsrooms facing significant burdens.
Lehigh Valley Public Radio Honored
WDIY 88.1 FM, Lehigh Valley Public Radio, has captured five Excellence in Broadcasting Awards from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters. WDIY’s five awards was the highest total for a single radio station in the state, matched only by KYW in Philadelphia with five awards.
ACM Radio Award Winners
The Academy of Country Music is out with the full list of Radio Award winners for the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards. The awards show is set for March 7 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Town Hall From Townsquare
Townsquare Media’s New Jersey 101.5 (WKXW-FM) will present a Town Hall broadcast about College Alternatives. Eric Scott, Senior Political Director for the station will host the program February 24.
Two New PRX Board Members
Rishi Jaitly of Times Bridge and Kyle Reis of TechSoup have joined the PRX Board of Directors. PRX is a non-profit public media organization specializing in audio journalism and storytelling.
