Hubbard Raises Over $100K For Poland

In response to the humanitarian  crisis in Eastern Europe, Hubbard Radio’s KTMY-FM in Minneapolis-St. Paul is partnering with Minnesota-based Alight to raise money that will directly aid refugee care in Poland. The fundraiser, myTalkers for Ukraine, kicked-off Monday, March 7th, has already raised $105,000 and will continue through this week.

Saga Q4 Revenue up Slightly

On Thursday Saga Communications reported that net revenue for the 4th quarter of 2021 came in at $29.2 million, up from $28.8 million in Q4 of 2020. Excluding political, gross revenue increased 10.6% compared to the fourth quarter of 2020.

Station Owner Says He’s Receiving Threats

Pete Schartel is the Owner of KCXL Radio in Liberty, Missouri. His station carries Radio Sputnik, a radio service funded by the Kremlin. Schartel tells Radio Ink that he's been receiving threats after the NAB sent out a letter calling on stations to stop carrying programming with ties to the Russian Government.
