Fifty years ago, KWMU debuted in St. Louis. Broadcasting from Lucas Hall on the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus, KWMU (now St. Louis Public Radio) introduced public radio to St. Louis. Clarity Communications owned Country station WLXO announced the passing of long-time Lexington host Karl Shannon at the age of 68. Shannon held the distinction of being the only person in Lexington to be rated number one in morning drive on two different stations; WVLK-FM and WBUL-FM. Alpha Media San Jose’s Bay Country KBAY-FM has hired Isaac "Brooks” Wenzel as the station’s first afternoon drive host and APD. Brooks moves to San Jose from Indianapolis where he was Music Director and Afternoon host for country station, WFMS.

Beasley Media Group is moving Jeff Kurkjian from Las Vegas to Philadelphia to become the new co-host of The Andie Summers Show on WXTU-FM. Kurkjian has been the co-host of the Jeff and Aimee Morning Show on Beasley's KCYE-FM in Vegas since March of 2018.

30-year radio veteran Annalisa is moving from Boston to Chicago. She joins 93XRT (WXRT-FM) from WXRV in Boston.

Chandra Thomas Whitfield is joining Colorado Public Radio as the host and producer of the daily interview show "Colorado Matters". Whitfield has produced stories for NPR, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Essence, Ebony and a number of other national media outlets.

Conservative commentator Tomi Lahren will host an evening program on the OutKick Media digital platform beginning June 20. In addition, Lahren will join the FOX News Audio network as the exclusive voice of FOX News Commentary, starting June 6th.
