Ken West Named Brand Manager of WERS
Emerson College's radio station WERS (88.9 FM) has named Ken West to the newly-created position of brand manager for the station, effective immediately. West, an Emerson College alumnus, started his three-decade career at WERS before moving to other stations.
KQMV Seattle Extends ‘Brooke & Jeffrey’ Contract
Hubbard's hit music station KQMV (92.5 FM, Movin 92.5) in Seattle will offer the Brooke & Jeffrey in the Morning show for at least four more years. The show airs in syndication on 50 different stations across the country and is distributed by Premiere Networks.
Jeff Ward Returns to Austin Radio
Jeff Ward is returning to radio with The Jeff Ward Show debuting on Waterloo Media's K274AX (102.7 FM, ESPN) in Austin. Ward's program will air weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the station, which is simulcast on KBPA HD-2 in the market.

The deadline to enter the Radio Television Digital News Association's Edward R. Murrow awards is quickly approaching. All entries must be received by 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. The organization says it will likely not extend the deadline.
Schwalb Named News Director at WBBM Chicago
Audacy has hired Craig Schwalb as Brand Manager and News Director for WBBM Newsradio in Chicago. Schwalb succeeds longtime station veteran Ron Gleason, who recently announced his retirement.
WGH Flips to Fox Sports
Max Media's WGH (1310 AM, 100.9 FM) has flipped its format from business news to Fox Sports. The station is one of two sports radio broadcasters operated by Max Media in the market, including WVSP (94.1 FM), an ESPN Radio affiliate. Dina Franza will serve as the station's brand manager.

Kosar Loses Radio Gig After Placing Bet
Former Cleveland quarterback Bernie Kosar was fired from his pre-game radio position by the Cleveland Browns after he placed a ceremonial $19,000 bet on the Browns to win Friday. Kosar wore number 19 when he played with the Browns.
