Cumulus Media's talk radio station in Chicago, WLS (890 AM), has signed a multi-year deal with the Motor Racing Network to broadcast NASCAR in that market. Cumulus' deal with the Motor Racing Network on WLS-AM is for three years and is slated to begin in 2023.

One of FCC Chairman Ajit Pai's goals is to overhaul about a thousand pages of regulations put on broadcasters, many of them decades old that make no sense in a world where broadcasters compete with the unregulated world of digital. The rule that requires stations to maintain a studio in or near its community of license may be the next to go.

Audacy is expanding the 'BetQL Network' with the addition of seven more stations including signals in Detroit, Houston and Washington, DC. The expansion puts the sports betting brand into 12 Audacy markets.
