On January 27, Milwaukee Police Officer Herbert Davis was shot multiple times while responding to a welfare check. Recovering, Davis, a huge Cincinnati Bengals fan, will be going to the big game February 13 thanks to WTMJ-AM.

As of today, KOMO AM/FM in Seattle will become KNWN AM/FM. The change was a condition of Sinclair Broadcast Group’s sale of radio stations (KOMO, KPLZ/STAR 101.5 and KVI) to Lotus Communications.
Five More Years For Rickey
Rickey Smiley has signed a new deal with Reach Media and Urban One to extend his morning radio show for another five years. The deal also includes the creation of The Rickey Smiley Podcast Network. Reach began syndicated Smiley in 2008.
