WDRV-FM Chicago Morning hosts Brian Sherman and Steve Tingle shaved each other’s heads in support of Brian Sherman’s wife Katie and others fighting breast cancer. Also getting in on the shaving action was WDRV-FM PD Keith Hastings who lost his mom to Breast Cancer when he was a teenager.

Amaturo Adds Two Stations in California
Amaturo Sonoma Media Group and Redwood Empire Stereocasters have jointly announced that Amaturo is purchasing two RES stations, KZST-FM and KWVF-FM. The sale price was not announced. The transaction is expected to close in the 3rd quarter of this year. An LMA to operate the stations went into effect yesterday.

St. Louis Public Radio Turns 50
Fifty years ago, KWMU debuted in St. Louis. Broadcasting from Lucas Hall on the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus, KWMU (now St. Louis Public Radio) introduced public radio to St. Louis. On August 4th, an exhibit will open about the station and a party will be held. Check out a timeline of the station's history HERE.
Five Murrow Awards For WFDD
WFDD in Winston Salem has been honored with five Regional Edward R Murrow awards by the Radio Television Digital News Association. They will now advance to the National Murrow Awards competition.
