FCC Tightens Disclosure Rules for Foreign-Sponsored Airtime
The FCC has voted 3-2 to introduce new rules that mandate broadcasters to verify that airtime lessees are not affiliated with foreign governments. This move comes after a previous set of regulations was overturned by a federal appeals court in July 2022.
