The FCC previously issued a Notice of Apparent Liability to Gerald Sutton for operating an illegal radio station on 103.1-FM in Alma, Arkansas. Sutton ignored the NAL and now faces a $10,000 fine. The new order does not say whether or not Sutton is still broadcasting.

As residents of South Florida recover from Hurricane Irma The Sun Sentinel has published an editorial that the radio industry is going to love. The paper is calling on Apple CEO Tim Cook to activate the FM Chips that are inside Apple's iPhones. The paper said Apple’s resistance on this issue is unacceptable.

Both Barrett Sports Media and Outkick are reporting that Mike Greenberg is heading back to ESPN Radio, most likely in the noon to 3 p.m. slot. Greenberg hosted mornings with Mike Golic for nearly two decades before jumping over to TV.

No word yet on what programming will be available; CEO Rob Koblasz says that will begin rolling out shortly. The name of the new company is Key Networks, and will be led by Koblasz and Sun & Fun Media CRO, and former Westwood One executive, Dennis Green.
