At the very end of the BMI/RMLC press release, "podcasts" are included as a platform in which music in the BMI catalogue is "covered" by the scope of this new agreement. Does that mean one of your hosts can start a music podcast tomorrow without fear of breaking any copyright laws? The answer...it's complicated.

As of tomorrow Townsquare will take over WWAX-FM under a Time Brokerage Agreement with Twin Ports Radio. Townsquare, which now has four FM's and one AM in Duluth, expects to strike a deal with Twin Ports to buy the station.

The XFL Seattle Dragons have announced an agreement with 710 ESPN Seattle that will make the Bonneville Seattle station the home of Dragons programming and shows beginning February 5. The XFL season begins February 8.

Neversink Broadcasting's WABT in the Poconos lost their morning show co-host Elisa Chase last month. She died at the age of 38 after a short illness. The day after her memorial service, her husband died. That was all Gary Smith could take.
