Cumulus Revenue Down 11.5% in Q1
With revenue of $201.7 million in the first quarter of 2021, Cumulus saw its revenue decrease 11.5% from 2020, which had revenue of $228 million. Podcasting was the bright spot, increasing 35%, although the exact dollar figure was not released.

What Lawmakers Are Saying About Radio
77 members of the House of Representatives and eight Senators have joined together to introduce resolutions in the new Congress opposing "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. Many of them praised local radio in their hometown markets.
Beasley Q1 Revenue Declines 16.4%
The company was looking at strong comps in January and February of 2020 before the bottom fell out in March when the pandemic grabbed the American way of life by the throat. In January and February revenue was down 21% compared to 2020. March revenue was up 3.9% over March 2020.
What Categories Were Strong For Beasley?
It's a strange economy out there. As Americans edge closer to a post-pandemic normal way of life, automobiles sales are strong, gas prices are rising, restaurants are struggling to find workers and the government is running a campaign to get people to take the vaccine.
