New York Radio Revenue Up 5% In Q4

The New York Market Radio Association reported that, according to data provided by Miller, Kaplan, & Arase, radio revenue in New York City increased 5% in the 4th quarter of 2015, compared to 2014. Spot revenue was up 3%. The categories that led to the growth for radio were communications, health care, and food and beverage. Automotive was the number one advertising category in 2015 while wireless carriers increased their spending by 10%. Public utilities increased spending by 22%. Two hundred new advertisers turned to New York radio in 2015, with each new advertiser spending at least $25,000. Twenty-six of those new advertisers spent over $300,000 in 2015.
