RAB, BMI, Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, and Xperi, announced the graduation of the 2024 class of the Rising Through the Ranks program. The 16th annual iteration of Rising Through the Ranks aimed to bolster the skills of women seeking leadership roles.

This year’s sessions, which started virtually on August 13 and continued in person from August 20-22 at the BMI Nashville office, saw a diverse group of attendees, selected through an application process, engaging in a two-day curriculum tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities for women in radio management.

This educational event covered a range of topics from personal branding and leadership to team culture development.

Featured speakers at the event included notable industry leaders such as iHeartMedia Market Groups President Hartley Adkins, Cox Media Group Executive Vice President of Radio Rob Babin, and award-winning artist Trisha Yearwood.

RAB President and CEO Mike Hulvey commented, “This year’s graduates join the 440 women who have participated and benefited from RAB’s Rising Through the Ranks. We are immensely proud of the initiative and its impact on the business.”

BMI Senior Vice President and Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer Sandye Taylor said, “Being part of Rising Through the Ranks and hosting the program is something we look forward to each year. I was honored to be among such a distinguished group of executive presenters selected to educate, mentor, and help drive opportunities for women in radio and share my experiences to empower these emerging leaders to create an inclusive workplace. It was truly an unforgettable and enriching experience for us all.”

MIW Board President Ruth Presslaff commented, “Rising Through the Ranks is truly a one-of-a-kind program. Once again, MIW is honored to contribute to the profound impact RTTR has on a select group of women who in turn positively impact the entire radio industry.”
