Mix 95.7 (WLHT) Grand Rapids has died. The 20 year radio veteran passed away after a short battle with liver cancer.

“We are devastated by the loss of our friend and colleague, Connie Kellie. She made a huge impact on her community, her station, and our company,” said Bill Wilson, CEO Townsquare. “We will miss her very much, and are forever grateful for the time we had together.”

“Connie was a rare talent who not only became a wildly popular radio host, she actually changed the business,” said Kurt Johnson, SVP Programming. “She pioneered the way for countless women in radio and inspired her listeners by being bold, unapologetic and uncompromising in creating content. But more than that, Connie was one of the most joyful people I’ve known. She lived life loudly on her terms, and did good every day for everyone around her. She made the world better.”

Kellie joined the Mix 95.7 team in 2012 and was host of the Connie & Fish morning show. She was honored in 2019 with a Gracie Award from the Alliance of Women in Media.

“Over 25 years ago, this incredible, smart and strong woman allowed me the opportunity to be a part of her radio career,” said friend and radio host Fish. “Our journey will not only be with those who were touched by her immense talent, but engraved in my heart. Thank you, Connie, for this adventure. I look forward to the day we meet again.”

Mix 95.7 has posted a Tribute To Connie and on-air remembrances will air throughout the week on Mix 95.7 FM.
