From ‘Hallelujah’ To Hip-Hop: iHeart Flipping Brunswick WBGA

iHeartMedia Brunswick has announced WBGA is now Real 96.3, focused on Hip Hop and R&B. Starting Thursday, September 21, the station is shedding its previous “Hallelujah” gospel format and will air the latest from Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, and Drake.

The Breakfast Club, hosted by DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God, will anchor the morning slot, followed by Way Up with Angela Yee. Rounding out the day, Brunswick radio veteran Kali Kold will host the local afternoon show. Kold’s deep roots in the market promise a relevant mix of news and entertainment.

“We’re always looking for ways to serve the community, add to the conversation, and give people an excuse to enjoy themselves,” said iHeart Brunswick VP of Programming Scott Ryfun. “We think we’ve hit on a recipe that delivers on all of those fronts. Brunswick’s been waiting for something like this. It’s time.”
