Streaming platform TuneIn and wellness audio service Calm Radio have extended their partnership to provide streaming listeners with easy listening, classical, jazz music and meditation sounds.

The extended deal will see TuneIn embedded within the Calm Radio app, along with opportunities to offer in-stream advertising and commercial-free options to subscribers.

“This renewed and expanded partnership with Calm Radio is yet another stamp on our commitment to providing the highest quality and most diverse library of streaming audio content to our listeners,” Richard Stern, the CEO of TuneIn, said in a statement. “Calm Radio provides the time of listening experience people are needing more and more these days, a quiet place to collect themselves, relax, and ultimately find their calm place.”

“We have been so pleased with our relationship with TuneIn that this expansion was the obvious next step,” Eric Harry, the founder and general manager of Calm Radio, said. “By harnessing the power of the TuneIn engine to run our app, expands the reach and capabilities for Calm Radio to exactly where we need to be, the ears of all those who are looking find that moment of peace.”

As part of the deal, TuneIn’s audio platform will power the Calm Radio app, while Calm Radio’s commercial-supported content will be distributed within the TuneIn app. Premium subscribers on TuneIn will get access to Calm Radio’s commercial-free content.

Calm Radio’s content through TuneIn will be accessible through the TuneIn apps for smartphones, tablets, connected TV sets and through TuneIn’s integration with smart speakers.
