Beasley Media Group’s Philadelphia cluster is giving away $250,000 in advertising grants to local businesses.
92.5 WXTU-FM, 93.3 WMMR-FM, 95.7 BEN-FM, 97.5 The Fanatic and 102.9 WMGK-FM will all participate in the initiative to help support local businesses, which will take place from June 8th – June 21st. A total of five $10,000 advertising grants will be awarded per station.
Businesses must submit a 300-word essay on why they should be chosen to receive the advertising grant. Consideration will be based upon the company’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as community service, business culture and employee loyalty.
Wings for Success is a Chester County based non-profit providing apparel, advice and advocacy to women in need in the southeastern Pennyslvania area.
In this time of the COVID-19 outbreak, our donations from individuals have shrunk and many grants that we had applied for (and were depending on receiving) are being reallocated to organizations providing food and shelter. Yet, we are expected to have served more women than ever during this time as we provide medical scrubs (had a request for 120 sets of scrubs in one day) to healthcare workers on the frontline, continue to provide clothing for women escaping domestic violence (DV is up considerably during this stressful time), have served women who have lost their homes and belongings due to fire.
Because our primary mission is to provide clothing and advice (interview skills, resume assistance, business etiquette, etc.) to women returning to work and those who we would consider working poor, we know that as SEPA reopens and women who lost their jobs temporarily or permanently will be seeking new employment, the number of women we serve is expected to skyrocket. Our already thin financial resources will be stretched.
The Beasley Media Group Advertising grant will allow us to get the word out in the community for exposure and donations and may be a lifeline for us as the economy is restored.

Cumulus Media Charleston gave away $250,000 in advertising to 100 locally owned businesses and all they had to do was fill out a form online – no English test. Just saying.
