Veteran Operations Manager for Saga’s Des Moines Radio Group, Scott Allen, has resigned, effective April 23. Allen has been with the nine-station Des Moines Radio Group in some capacity since starting as a Drake University intern in the early 1990s. A new opportunity has come Allen’s way in the form of VP of Marketing for a Des Moines insurance company.
“Obviously this is a very rare and very desirable opportunity”, said Des Moines Radio Group Vice President and General Manager Tom Nankival. “We expect there will be a tidal wave of qualified candidates. We’re just hoping there is someone capable of filling Scott’s immense shoes that’s a fit for our culture and our city and can move us forward without losing momentum.”
Allen’s responsibilities include PD of KSTZ-FM and KMYR-FM, as well as oversight of KAZR-FM and KIOA-FM plus KRNT-AM, KPSZ-AM, and three Metro stations.
