Clark Howard and Cox Media Group’s Altlanta cluster station’s News 95.5 and AM750 WSB (WSB-AM/WSBB-FM) have kept the Christmas spirit momentum going for radio.

Howard joined forces with the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services and The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Georgia and together they collected 8,360 toys for foster children in Georgia. It’s the 26th year of the program. Collection events ran for two weeks around Atlanta and included live broadcasts on News 95.5 and AM750 WSB featuring Clark Howard.

Pete Spriggs, WSB Radio’s Director of Branding and Programming, said, “This is clear evidence of the incredible power of local radio. Our talent from WSB, KISS 104.1, B98.5, and 97.1 The River were everywhere in the Atlanta Metro – North, South, East, and West. And listeners responded to them with what amounts to more than $1 million in donations. Clark Howard is the most trusted and biggest-hearted man in broadcasting – end of story. He rallied all this and worked a miracle.”

Clark Howard added, “I never thought we’d be able to take care of that many kids. I’m just blown away by the generosity I saw from our listeners and my fellow Americans. I’m amazed at what we have accomplished in our 26th year and thank WSB Radio, St. Vincent de Paul Georgia, and our friends at WSB-TV for their continued support. If not for them, none of these kids would have presents on Christmas morning.”
