Classic Rock station PYX 106, (Albany, NY), will hold its fourth annual “Vets Rock” broadcast on Veterans Day, featuring 10 local military service men and women. After auditions were conducted, the vets were selected to host the station’s programming and conversation topics for a day. They will DJ their own hour-long broadcast on November 11 and share stories of Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, as well as other personal military experiences, on PYX 106 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Audio clips featuring WWII vets will also be aired during the day.
“Our listeners have always been dedicated to the veterans in our community” said John Cooper, Program Director for PYX 106. “We look forward to a day of honoring and connecting with individuals that have served our country.”
