After a 12-hour radiothon, the station really could shout “hallelujah!” with the final count raised for the Sickle Cell Foundation tallying $10,600. The radiothon was hosted by popular personalities Connie Bryant and Yvette Bullard-Dillard. This was the 28th year for the annual fundraiser.

James Belton, President of the Sickle Cell Foundation of the River Region, said, “I would like to thank the staff and management of 104.3 Hallelujah-FM for opening their doors and allowing us to conduct this radiothon. This is our major fundraiser and without this partnership we would probably fall short of the funds needed to assist our patients. We also thank the community for their assistance in making this fundraiser and great success.”

“We have an obligation to support charitable organizations in our community,” said afternoon personality Yvette Bullard-Dillard. “The only way we can continue to fight disorders that affect African Americans disproportionately like Sickle Cell is by partnering with great organizations like the Sickle Cell Foundation of the River Region.”
